December 21st Announcements

Lutheran World Relief Coffee Project -  Mission Project for 2015
Through the LWR Coffee Project, a partnership between Lutheran World Relief and Equal Exchange, Lutherans can enjoy delicious fairly traded products while supporting small-scale farmers across the world. Farmers earn a fair price for their crops, have access to affordable credit and can invest in education, health care and sustainable agriculture, building a better future for their families. In addition, for all fairly traded coffee, tea, cocoa, sugar and snacks purchased through the LWR Coffee Project, Equal Exchange give $0.20 per pound to LWR for projects supporting small-scale coffee farmers. We hope everyone will enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and help support these small farmers.
Jean Wormstadt has different coffees and tea available for purchase. Tea is $4.50 and coffee ranges from $10-$11.

WELCA will have a meeting following the December 28th service to elect officers.

Kids had their dress rehearsal this morning and are ready to perform for you on Wednesday evening. Be ready to join them in song!

Angel Tree Gifts & Announcements

On Friday, Sunday School children and their parents from Immanuel Lutheran, rural Iroquois, purchased items for kids on the Salvation Army Angel Tree. The Sunday School children asked the congregation for donations and since they were so generous, they were each able to adopt an angel that was their age and purchase a gift for them. The kids had so much fun picking out presents and learned how important giving to others was! After shopping, they enjoyed supper together and then went caroling at StoneyBrook Suites Assisted Living and to a couple of our elderly church members’ houses. This morning, they got to show & tell the congregation what they purchased for their angel before delivering the presents. They cannot wait until next year to do it again. THANK YOU FOR DONATING!!!!
