Angel Tree
The Sunday School kids want to adopt angels from the Angel Tree
again this year! If you would like to donate money to help purchase gifts you can give it to Jodi, Angel or Kerry. We are hoping
that each kid will be able to adopt an angel! We will be taking all the
kids shopping on Friday, Dec. 11th
to purchase the gifts and they will show everyone at church that
following Sunday what they picked out for their angel before delivering
the gifts. We also applied for Thrivent Action Team dollars so will be receiving $250.00 to help purchase gifts. We hope that we will be able to buy twice as many gifts this year! After shopping we will be going to Godfather's for supper and
then Christmas Caroling. Feel free to contact Jodi or Angel if you have any
questions!
Reminder: Church is at 11:00 am this coming Sunday, Nov. 29th with Sunday School at 10:00 am and then will be held the next Saturday, December 5th at 6:00 pm (instead of our 8:00 am Sunday morning service). Sunday School will be held at 5:00 pm prior to our Saturday night services.

Scavenger Hunt Food Drive THANK YOU!!!
What an
amazing night...so many generous friends! We started around 4:15 east of the
church and 80+ miles later we finished in Huron around 7:00. We received
donations from over 30 families and everyone was so generous! The food
pantry was very excited to receive all of our donations.
They
were as follows: 26 soups, 4 cans of fruit, 50 cans of vegetables, 1 can stew
meat, 6 cans tuna, 3 spaghetti sauces, 7 honey, 5 peanut butter, 1 bisquick, 3
oatmeal, 14 boxes stuffing, 1 relish, 2 mustards, 12 bags of dry
rice/pasta/beans, 2 boxes Rice-a-Roni, 7 macaroni & cheese, 2 Hamburger
Helper, 2 cookie mixes, 1 can sweet potatoes, 1 box taco shells, 1 can coffee,
1 roll paper towel, 1 lotion, 1 mayonnaise, 3 instant potatoes, 2 puddings, 2
brownie mixes, 4 cake mixes, 1 muffin mix, 1 turkey, 1 bag of turkey slices and
$76.00. They collected 162 items to earn a total of 10,035 scavenger hunt points,
only 640 points less than last year, but we also applied to be a Thrivent
Action Team and were approved so we will be receiving $250 debit card to
purchase more food items for the food pantry as soon as we receive it!!!
Thank you,
Kelby, Taylynn, Wyatt, Katie, Lexi, Jodi & Kerry

First Communion
Lexi, Kelby and Katie received their First Communion today.
Thanks to all who shared in this special day with them.
Please keep June & Kirby Page and their family in your thoughts and prayers as June's mom passed away this week. Her funeral will be held this coming Sunday, November 8th at 2:00 pm at Immanuel.
Reminder: Sunday School students will be doing a scavenger hunt food drive again on Friday, November 13th. We will start at Wintle's at 4:15 pm and will work our way towards Huron. We plan to be to Huron by 7:00 pm. The collected items will be donated to the Salvation Army Food Pantry. The youth will have a list of items to earn them scavenger hunt points, but any non-perishable items that you donate will be more than appreciated. Last year, they collected 10,675 scavenger hunt points so they hope to get even more this year. If you will not be home, but would like to donate you may leave items at the church or talk to Jodi to make other arrangements. Thank you in advance for helping us "Can Hunger!"
