Please keep Jodi Burma's niece, Kayla and her husband Lee & family in your thoughts and prayers. Lee who is 35 had open heart surgery on Wednesday to replace an aortic valve and the surgery went great. A couple hours after waking up from surgery he had a brain aneurysm which caused some strokes. He has no movement on one side of his body and very little on the other. A CaringBridge site has been set up under leeparish if you would like to stay updated on his journey.

Reminder: A baby shower for Aubree, daughter of Cassidy Wormstadt and Bob Brown will be held this Sunday at 2:00 pm at the church. Everyone is Welcome!!!

Announcements for Week of October 11th

Velda Zeeck's surgery went great last week and she is now doing rehab at the nursing home in Desmet. She is in room 209 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home, 411 Calumet Ave. N, De Smet, SD 57231.

Immanuel Council will be held Tuesday, October 13th at 8:00 pm

Ruth Circle will be held on Thursday, October 15th at 7:00 pm at Millie Zell's

The 4-6th grade Immanuel Sunday School students will once again be doing their scavenger hunt food drive this fall. It will be held on Friday, November 13th...watch announcements for more details!! They hope to beat all of the past years scavenger hunt points to help CAN HUNGER!!!

Newsboy Concert

The christian rock band, Newsboys will be playing Sunday, November 15 at 7:00 pm in Brookings. The tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for children 3-18. If you are interested in going to the concert contact Donna Koziolek by Tuesday, October 13th at 605-461-3894 to order a ticket. She will be ordering the tickets on the 14th.

Baby Shower for Aubree

A baby shower for Aubree, daughter of Cassidy Wormstadt and Bob Brown will be held Sunday, October 25th at 2:00 pm at the church.Everyone is Welcome!!!

Also, please keep Velda Zeeck in your prayers as she fell today and fractured her hip. She is in Sioux Falls.

Church is at 8:00 am tomorrow at Immanuel with Sunday School following at 9:00.

Cassidy Wormstadt's Baby Shower is Postponed

Due to conflicting schedules and the baby not arriving yet Cassidy's baby shower is postponed.

Sunday School will start this Sunday, September 13th following the 8:00 am service at 9:00 am.

Baby Shower for Cassidy Wormstadt

A baby shower will be held for Cassidy Wormstadt on Saturday, September 19th at the church at 10:00 am. Cassidy's baby girl is due to make an arrival at any time!

Also, the DeSmet C&MA Church (303 2nd St SW) would like to invite the ladies to a Beth Moore Living Proof Live Simulcast on Saturday, September 12th. Doors open at 8:30 am; Event begins at 9:15 AM. It is $20 to attend and lunch is included. Call Suzie Sinclair at 605-860-8755 for more information.
