Scavenger Hunt Food Drive a Huge Success...THANK YOU!!!

Above is a picture of the food collected during the scavenger hunt food drive last night. Thank you to our wonderful church family for their giving hearts! We collected 454 items (116 more than last year) for a total of 39,808 points (18,833 more than last year. The most points ever!!!

Went shopping at Coborn's to use our $250 Thrivent card and another $150 that was donated...AMAZING!!!
Tried to take a picture of the kids packed in the vehicle under all of the items, but it was to dark. Kali, Kenna & Kera were trapped under bottles of juice and Wyatt & Madi were surrounded by cans of vegetables and soup! It was packed and kids had to do quite the yoga moves to get out to unload at the food pantry

A fun night spent together!

Announcements for 10/27/19

Was discussed at quarterly meeting today that the drainage problem has been fixed so help will be needed this week to fill the dirt back in at the church. Be watching for a message via text with date and time. Nothing will be done with basement flooring until we are able to monitor the water this spring and make sure there is no more water leaking in the walls, as it did this summer.

The 5th-8th grade Sunday School students will be doing a scavenger hunt food drive again on Friday, November 8th. We will start by the church around 4:30 pm and will work our way south around the country and end up in Huron by 7:00 pm. The collected items will be delivered to the Salvation Army Food Pantry at 8:00 pm. The food pantry is in need of Thanksgiving meal items such as turkeys, stuffing mix, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, canned cranberries, canned fruit, etc, but any non-perishable items that you donate will be more than appreciated. Please be sure the items are not expired as they cannot give them away if expired and will just be thrown away. Last year, they collected 20,975 scavenger hunt points so they hope to get even more this year. If you will not be home, but would like to donate you may leave items at the church or talk to Jodi to make other arrangements. Also, if you know you will not be home or if we are not able to get to your house because of damaged roads, please let Jodi know. Thank you in advance for helping us "Can Hunger!"

Saturday Night Services begin November 23rd at Immanuel. Sunday School will be at 5:00 pm with church service at 6:00 pm. Following the Saturday night services the church youth will be providing the meals with a free-will donation going towards their National Youth Gathering trip in 2021.

Reminder for Those Helping with Funeral Saturday

Lenora's funeral is at 10:30 on Sat. Oct. 12. Those who volunteered to make bars are as follows: Gayle, Donna K., June, Betty, Jan G, Jodi, Joyce, April, Michele, Angel, and Susan J. Please have your bars cut when you bring them. Smaller pieces may be better as many people like a couple smaller bars. Some bars in a 9x13 pan could be cut into 15 or 20 pieces. Use your judgement. Donna D., Fran, and I will be there at 9:00 to make sandwiches. Jan G., Angel, Susan J., Kerry D., Donna K., Gayle, and April offered to help with serving/clean up. If I have missed anything or anyone, let me know.
Thank you everyone for being so willing to serve.
