Immanuel Council will be held Tuesday, April 8th at 8:00 pm
Friday night some of our youth as well as other members of our church joined together in fellowship at the Sioux Falls Arena to watch an amazing Christian Rock concert! Casting Crowns, King and Country and Laura Story performed as well as great testimonies. We all had a great night! Those who went were Keistan, Katie, Angel, Michelle, Cassidy, Kirby, June, Michaela, Cashayne, Tessah, Lexi, Jodi & Linda Jensen (teacher from Iroquois).
Everyone at Immanuel would also like to give a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to all who devote so much time to prepare for our Saturday night services...our Prairie Praise band is the best!!! All of your hard work & time is greatly appreciated! The Sunday School kids joined them by singing "Blessed Be the Name" in our last Saturday night service for the year last night.

ELCA Good Gifts Red Barn Collection
April 13th, during our 9:30 am service, Immanuel WELCA will be collecting the red barns for our ELCA Good Gifts overseas mission. If you have a red barn please bring it on that day with your donation. Please give from your heart to help those who live in poverty all of their lives. A little can do so much! ELCA Good Gifts provides more than 50 different gift-giving options that grow the church, fight hunger and transform lives.
$10 = 10 chicks (when they are just months old, these chicks begin laying eggs, which make nutritious, protein-rich meals for families who are hungry. The many extra eggs are often enough to allow a family to start a small business by selling them for additional income.)
$30 = pig (A pig in the pen is like money in the bank. Within months, a tiny piglet grows to weigh over 200 pounds! Should a family have a failed harvest, medical expense or other unexpected financial need, this pig can be sold for much-needed cash at the market.
$50 = goat (Fresh milk from a goat provides great nutrition for children who are growing. And as goats multiply in number, families often share the offspring with neighbors in need, helping lift entire communities out of hunger and poverty.)
$10 = mosquito net for a family of 4 (To most of us in the United States, mosquitoes are nothing more than a nuisance. But in many countries in Africa, just one bite from an infected mosquito could transmit malaria and lead to death. A bed net treated with long-lasting insecticide, coupled with training and education on how it is used, helps ensure that families are protected from this life-threatening disease as they sleep.)
$10 = pair of shoes for a child to wear to school
