We welcomed Hazel June Page to our church family today!

The fleece tie blankets that the Sunday School youth made for Child Protective Services in Huron were blessed today so will be delivered soon.

Council is looking into getting new steps put in, in the front of the church, so be watching for a special meeting in case it exceeds $2500 and has to be voted on. 

8th Grade Graduation Cards will be in the back of the church for Kelby and Lexi next week as well for everyone to sign.

Announcements for Week of May 5th

Church Yard Cleanup - Wednesday, May 8th at 6:30 pm. Bring tractors, rakes, gloves, etc.

Rogation Sunday will be on Sunday, May 12th at 11:00 am. Bring your tractor, shovel full of dirt from your garden/field, seeds for your garden/field to be blessed. It will be a day of prayer for God's blessings on the fruits of the earth and the labors of those who produce our food.

May 19th Immanuel church service will be held at 11:00 am (note time change). We will be celebrating the baptism of Hazel June Page!

During Sunday School this morning the youth worked on their service project. They completed 8 fleece tie blankets with 8 more to go! Thank you June & Mona for helping out. The youth had a lot of fun and will hopefully be able to finish them up next week during Sunday School (our last day of Sunday School). The blankets will be donated to Child Protective Services in Huron.

Easter SonRise Service

Thank you Donna, Gayle, Kirby, Stan & Judy for sharing your musical talent with us on Easter morning.

Bread pudding recipe as requested by many who enjoyed it Easter morning.

Bread Pudding with Sauce 

Bread Pudding:                                         Rum Sauce:

8 large eggs                                               1 cup brown sugar

3 1/2 cups whole milk                            1/2 cup butter

2 cups sugar                                             1/2 cup whipping cream

1 1/2 cups whipping cream                  2 T spiced rum (didn’t use)

1 t vanilla extract                                    3/4 t ground cinnamon

1 1# loaf bread

1 T ground cinnamon

1 cup raisins or pecans

Butter 9x13 glass dish. In a large bowl whisk eggs in bowl, add milk, sugar, cream, cinnamon & vanilla. Whisk to blend. Stir in cubed bread, raisins or pecans. Pour mixture into prepared baking dish, cover & refrigerate 2 hours or overnight. Preheat oven to 350. Bake uncovered 1 hour, 15 minutes. It will puff up and then collapse in the cooling. 

Cool slightly.

For the rum sauce, stir brown sugar & butter in heavy pan on medium heat until melted & smooth. (2 minutes). Add cream, rum, cinnamon.  Simmer until sauce thickens and is reduced, which takes about 5 minutes or so. Don’t boil.

Pour over baked pudding. Serve & enjoy. (Can be refrigerated & reheated).

Immanuel's Easter SonRise Service will be at 6:30 Easter morning with breakfast and fellowship to follow. Please bring eggs to boil or egg bake and rolls to share! The Easter breakfast work groups are as follows! 

Work group #1 & 2 ---- Serve

Work group #3 ---- Clean Up
Work group #4---Set Up & DecorateMona would also like 3 or 4 ladies to volunteer to be there by 6:00 am to fill platters and start the eggs boiling.

Everyone is invited to bring Easter lillies or spring flowers to decorate the church for Easter Sunday. If possible, please have them at the church by Saturday.

There will be no Lenten Service tonight (Wednesday, April 10th). Please keep everyone that has to be out in this weather in your prayers. Stay safe & warm!
